About our firm

Collins & Hunter originated in 1988 as the Law Offices of Patrick J. Collins.   Patrice Collins joined the firm in 2012, where it operated as Collins & Collins, LLC until the passing of Patrick J. Collins. We specialize in the representation of the credit union industry with respect to the investigation and pursuit of fidelity bond claims, as well as associated litigation and the general representation of credit unions. We take pride in the detailed attention we give to our clients, which only a boutique firm of focused attorneys can provide.

We provide outside corporate counsel services to credit unions, including the preparation and review of a broad spectrum of credit union contracts and policy and procedure drafting. We are well versed in credit union bonds and regulations and provide advice on matters ranging from insurance to regulatory compliance, vendor management, member relations, internal investigations, bankruptcy matters and dispute resolution. 

Litigation

We represent clients in federal courts, state courts and arbitral proceedings. As litigators, our attorneys have a track record of success in complex commercial and civil litigation. We have a broad range of experience representing credit unions in insurance coverage litigation, actions against third-party professionals in professional liability and malpractice suits, fraud and breach of fiduciary duty claims, breach of contract and business torts.  We represent individuals and businesses both as plaintiff and defense counsel.
